Damu gid gapamangkot sa’kon nga-a amu na ngalan ko sa Facebook.
Una ko nga sabat permi, “Nga-a indi pwede haw?”
Pagustuhi niyo lang ko ya bala sa kabuhi ko.
Pero there’s a story why I changed my name into that identity.
Indi malang na basta basta mo nalang islan nga wala ka-rason.
Okay, let me tell you a story.
(shocks! daw ka-seryoso ba. haha)
One night, I just feel the urge to change my name on Facebook.
Since I was frustrated because I can’t put my middle name for the reason that it is too long,
I decided to change my name completely.
Daw bad trip na bi nga pila ko na ka-weeks gina-try islan, indi gid masal-ot ya beloved middle name ko,
so islan tanan ah.
Wala preno, preno.
Pero ang pamangkot liwat,
“Why Jorge Parker?”
Pati ah, it is just the combination of the first and last name I like.
Jorge (pronounced as jorj or horhe, either way) is the name I used to tell strangers if ask what’s my name. I know it’s a masculine name, it’s even one of my male professor’s name, but I like it when someone calls me Jorge as much as calling me my nickname Dana.
It’s so funny that since the day I put it as my name, my friends now spell my name that way. It’s used to be Jords or Jordz, maybe they thought it was how I spell my name.
So, how about Parker?
Isn’t it obvious?
I love Spiderman and that’s the last name of his mortal identity, Peter.
Ka-coincident ah, while writing this blog, nagtukar gulpi ang theme song sang spiderman 3 which is Signal Fire by Snow Patrol.
So now, you have the idea why Jorge Parker.
Indi na sagad pamangkot pa.
